Roger Cormanan and Hervey Keitel are two important cinema artists in the 69th Locarno film festival who awarded special awards in their fields. Roger Corman awarded with annual Filmmakers Academy's guest of honor award. 90th years old Roger Corman achieved great position in western cinema as a producer, director and actor.
He made couple of hundred movies for more than 7 decades. He knows how to make movies and TV serials perfectly in this technological age. Two days before the popular US actor and an oscar and Golden Globe Award nominee Harvey Keitel was awarded to life time achievement award in Locarno. His films titled 'Mean Streets' and'Taxi Driver' are very popular. He has acted well even in these movies,' The Piano' and 'Pulp Fiction.'
When Harvey answered to spectators questions in Locarno, he told violence in cinema should be realistic and it is not fault. TV games and Video games cannot push violence deeply in society. When Harvey spoken to piazza grande audience he told,'today's technical world has opened its door to everybody in the world. so why are you waiting for? bring each of your talents and story. We are so much aware to see them. Your effort cannot be blocked by any financial situation or cinema trend.'
